Final Lifedrawing Portfolio

The end is near! Here's my final life drawing portfolio for this semester.

Mostly ten minutes, though I think there's one five. And a page from my sketchbook.

Winter fair stuff

As usual, this month we bundled up at the crack of dawn and headed out to the Royal Winter Fair to sketch animals and revel in the smell of farm. I didn't get nearly as much done as last year, due in part to the fact that I've been sicker than sick for the past month or so, but here are a few of the sketches I did that I liked.

Llamas are pretty much my favourite animals ever. Along with cats, anyway. And ostriches.

Design Pack Stuff

Some rough design pack stuff for my Action Analysis assignment!

The Fireman has to rescue the Fat Cat from a tree.
I think the cat and the tree worked really well....

Freelance Covers

Here are the results of that freelance work I mentioned not so long ago! I worked on these in collaboration with Henry.

The client wanted us to do the front and back covers of 2 instruction manuals for his tabletop RPG, Witch Girls.

First set of covers, front and back, on the theme of Good Witches:

Second set of covers, front and back, on the theme of Wicked Witches:

Henry and I both worked on the concept sketches and composition. Henry penciled the artwork (except for the frogs, which I did). I lined the covers, chose and laid down the flat colours, and then both of us worked on the shading.

The characters on the front covers and the Witch Girls concept are the property of Channel M Live.

All in all it was a good experience and I hope to do more sometime.

In lieu of sketching, I have been working on a silly meme. I don't think Blogger will let me post it here (it is a pretty big image), but I have posted it on my DeviantArt account, and it can be viewed here.
